Pre-operative notes for implant patients

1. Please ensure that your appointment for implant surgery is made on a day convenient for you. With some of the more complicated cases you may experience some discomfort and swelling which could last for seven days.
2. If you wear a denture you will need to consider your social and professional commitments if you have been told that you will not be able to wear it during the first one to two weeks after the surgery.
3. If you are having intra-venous sedation, please follow the instruction leaflet you will be provided.
4. Please ensure that you fully understand the procedure to be carried out and you have read the signed consent forms.
5. Please take any prescribed medicine as usual.
6. Do not starve yourself before the procedure.
